CALL OUT for North West based BESEA Actors!

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

Isabella Leung and Papergang Theatre are looking for a number of actors for the production of A BOUFFON PLAY ABOUT HONG KONG. This play is the finalist of The Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2021, and we are delighted to bring the play to HOME Manchester in February 2023.

Synopsis:

There is a silent disco over Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour tonight. The bouffons emerge to tell us something - a story perhaps - just for a laugh.

Remember, in this absurd world where politicians are comedians and the soldiers and police are troubled poets; none of us are the main characters.

So don’t take this too seriously, will you?

Must be North West based

Must have East Asian heritage

Passionate about storytelling & ensemble work

Experience in movements and devising

Experience in comedy and clown is a bonus but not essential
